Fundraising

As COVID-19 spread, an estimated 45 million people (1 in 7) likely experienced food insecurity in 2020 — an often-overlooked effect of the pandemic. I wanted to find a way to pitch into efforts that mitigated the situation, so I started a fundraising campaign that supported World Central Kitchen. World Central Kitchen is a nonprofit organization that provides fresh meals when disaster strikes, and through the course of the pandemic, their many volunteers across the country distributed meals to those in need.

To support their efforts, I created original clothing designs based on my sketches of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal and listed them on my own online store, where 100% of the profits of each item were donated to World Central Kitchen's #ChefsForAmerica COVID-19 food relief campaign.

Altogether, the fundraiser, through connecting with tennis players, students, and art-lovers, raised $1,500 dollars, which went directly to preparing and distributing meal kits across the country.
