Beyond the Code...
When I'm not building, I love indulging in music, art, and tennis.

Piano has been a hobby for me since childhood, both in adapting popular music and in classical theory, preparation, and performance.
In addition to western music, I spent more than ten years learning Hindustani classical singing, which offered experience spanning extempore improvisation, study of ragas, and different styles.

Sketches
I've always enjoyed pencil sketching in my free time, especially portraits of my favorite athletes and still life, the most recent of which includes Ace — my cat — and portraits of Roger Federer and Jayson Tatum. I was fortunate enough to get the Fed portrait signed when he visited Dartmouth for his commencement speech.

Tennis
Tennis has been another constant in my life, and I was lucky enough to help lead my high school tennis team to a state championship win my senior year. I've maintained my love for the sport in college, playing alongside teammates on the Dartmouth club team.
Like many others who draw parallels between life and the beautiful game, I too find that it offers unique framing on dealing with challenges: finding a way to power through adversity alone, winning ugly, and sportsmanship are just a few among many such life lessons. For me, the most powerful moral, however, has been that the most successful players just barely win more than 50% of the points they play — a staggeringly unintuitive statistic Federer shared during his Dartmouth commencement speech, emphasizing the value of the "it's just a point" mentality.

These are just some of the things that keep me grounded and excited while reminding me of the value that comes from cultivating hobbies and spending time across different disciplines, often inspiring ideas and progress in other domains in ways I usually don't expect.
